Laura Longato

ARAD CBTS RTS

Hi, I'm Laura dancer, teacher, and founder of BBL, where movement, strength and confidence come together in a welcoming community. Born in Padova, Italy, I started dancing at the age of 8 years old.

From 1991-2003 I continued my studies and received my diploma Advanced 2 from the Royal Academy of Dance becoming ARAD.

I received a scholarship to study at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London where I graduated as a professional dancer in 2004.

Shortly after my graduation I worked with English National Ballet and successively with Vienna Festival Ballet.

In 2009 I graduated as a Ballet teacher from the Royal Academy of Dance London receiving the ARAD CBTS RTS status.

I’ve also worked for the Royal Academy of Dance as a Mentor for their Certificate in Ballet and Teaching Studies.

To further my education I completed the Progressing Ballet Technique teacher course (PBT).

After my maternity I fell in love with barre classes and decided to become an instructor.

I completed my Barre Instructor training course at Barreworks London, the original pioneers of Barre Fitness in the UK (now The Barre Collective) followed by the Pre and Postnatal Certification.

I have been a qualified instructor since 2020, sharing my passion for movement, strength, and wellbeing with every class.

In May 22 I became a Silver Swans Licensee (Royal Academy of Dance) and I am now able to offer ballet classes for older learners.

In November 24 I became a Certified Menopause Movement Coach, I am passionate about helping midlife women feeling strong, informed, and supported through this life phase.

All this training, taught me that strength, alignment and mindful movement. matter at every age, which is why I'm passionate about movement.

Opening BBL Studio in 2026 has been one of the highlights of my career, finally having a dedicated space for all our classes has made it possible to bring my vision to life and create a welcoming home for our community.
